Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes and leap!
I'm through accepting limits
'cause someone says they're so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!
Together we're unlimited
Together we'll be the greatest team
There's ever been
Dreams the way we planned them
If we work in tandem
There's no fight we cannot win
Just you and I
About two weeks ago, I wrote a post sharing about an encounter I had with Father where He told me that He wants to steward my dreams. And that is the beginning of what is now unfolding before me. Father didn't share His intentions of caring for my dreams vaguely; He highlighted one dream in particular that He wanted to give to me in this season: Iris Harvest School of Missions in Pemba, Mozambique. So near the end of July, I applied to the school and waited. Not very long, mind you, because I found out less than two weeks later that I have been accepted and will be going to Mozambique come October.
It's quite an adventure He's set me on. It defies many rules that the world would expect. As a college graduate and full time employee for a NPO, who just up and leaves a position like that? But what seems strange in the world is incredible in the Kingdom. For where it makes no sense perhaps "practically," the Lord's logic far surpasses and I find that it is of no surprise to me because He has spoken every word prior to my application that point me in this direction. His words never return void, and in this season, I have the privilege to see His faithfulness in so many of them. I have the opportunity to discover even more the limitlessness of the Lord. I rejoice as I continue to find that He and I are limitless, together.
The school begins on October 3rd and goes until December 9th when many of us students will leave Pemba to go on outreaches throughout Mozambique and the rest of the world. My hope is that maybe once or twice while I am there, I will have a chance to post an update on this blog, for those of you that would care to follow the adventure. I would also love your support and prayers as I go.
Unlimited, together we're unlimited.
May you find yourself, as well, delving into the limitlessness of the Lord. May you dive deep into His goodness and fall deeper in love with the King, who loves YOU beyond comprehension. Be blessed.
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
